Unprofessional and not fair to those who already purchased tix. They were booked solid before our morning even started, and we were out the option. You can imagine the disappointment when we learned upon arrival that a week before, they changed their procedures and starting offering Mission Control tour purchases online. We bought online tickets a month in advance & were told twice by phone staff leading up to the day that we could reserve Tram tix the morning of arrival. Not an easy environment for young children and below: overstimulating! Many parents looked miserable trying to manage them and enjoy their visit. SSH is a very large facility, lots of crowds and noise. Tired, crying small kids made it hard to hear speakers or videos. A preteen & older can stop to read the many hundreds of displays & understand the tours, movies, etc. We were glad we waited to take our kids until they were older. There is A WHOLE LOT to see and read and hear, and I was blown away by how many restless small children & toddlers there were. Overall we had a great time at Space Center Houston.
